The room is filled. Nothing can be seen there, but "something" exists. Color, light, smell, air. Beeswax, which I became interested in as a material three years ago, can be perceived not only visually, but also through the sense of smell. I believe that the material is not limited to its physical form, but also fills the space as an invisible shape or as a scent or something similar.
The relationship between material and space is an important theme in my artistic practice. Beeswax is essentially a material that forms a habitat for bees, their home, the beehive. For me, beeswax is a material with an inherent warmth. This is reprised by humans in its uses for everyday items such as candles.
